Assessment for Your State

Orchard for Your State is more than a correlation document. It is a state-specific solution that can be used any time in the school year to assess students’ strengths and weaknesses and remediate those weaknesses to ensure better scores on state-specific or national tests. In addition, Orchard for Your State includes Teacher’s Choice. Educators can take advantage of the state-specific tests or they can create their own assignment.

State and National Correlations

Initial

	Curriculum-specific tests identify strengths and weaknesses of each student’s abilities, as well as progress and gains in achievement

	Tests show correct answers for any questions students may have missed, in addition to periodic gains and specific remediation needs

	Assessments range from 30 to 60 randomized questions presented in a graphical format that children find motivating

Formative

	Additional tests measure student progress and gains in achievement periodically throughout the school year

	A pool of tests are available to use as interim assessments, with results showing gains made since previous tests and identifying any areas needing further help

	Multiple sets of questions are available to assure comprehension of material, not just rote memorization
